Andrea Carrozzo: The Artist

My name is Andrea Carrozzo. I began my artistic journey at the young age of 17, participating in my first exhibitions in Italy's most important art cities, including Florence and Rome, and then moving on to Monte Carlo.

Although drawing has always been a part of my life, my true and profound connection with art was born during one of the most challenging moments of my adolescence.

In 2020, at the age of 11, the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic forced me into prolonged home isolation. Those months spent in solitude, marked by intense panic attacks, profoundly affected my emotional stability.

It was during that period of isolation, when verbal communication with the outside world had almost completely stopped, that I understood the true potential of artistic expression.

Almost by fate, I began to communicate through my paintings rather than with my voice. Painting became my refuge, a fundamental support that allowed me to cope with anxiety and overcome that critical phase.

The aftermath of the pandemic and the subsequent relationship difficulties—including exclusion at school and the weight of others' judgments—led me to withdraw into myself and live with profound insecurities.

To this day, I still struggle daily to rediscover the carefree attitude and ease with socializing that characterized my childhood.

However, I am aware that every suffering I have overcome has contributed to giving my artistic production a unique voice.

I don't know what my future path will be, but I am certain that my works will leave a mark and that someone will be able to identify with them, just as I have from day one.
