With "It's time to be reborn," artist Andrea Carrozzo sought to draw a clear line from the pain felt in the work "Depression is invisible," directing his expressive urgency toward the theme of rebirth. A hopeful green brushstroke reveals a gaze, delineated by the use of white. It is no longer the gaze of someone crying for help, but that of a tired person struggling to heal the wounds of the past in an effort to live the present as best he can.
The artist finds himself at a crossroads, where he can choose whether to continue pretending that everything is fine, denying the presence of his pain, or to try to transform it into something positive. The artist chooses to represent precisely the metamorphosis of his pain and change.
On the left, the still life embodies the weight of the past and pain; on the right, the blossoming nature marks the boundary of rebirth. The tear, which in "Depression is Invisible" represented restrained pain, here takes on a completely opposite meaning: it becomes lifeblood, a fundamental element from which flowers sprout.
To complete the inner journey, Andrea Carrozzo inserts the hands of a clock inside the left eye, symbolizing the passage of time, change, and healing that, step by step, becomes possible.
